Recently Neo-Neon achieved new heights in the White LED market by becoming the “first” Asia based manufacturer to achieve Energy Star Qualification on both our LED 6” Recessed Down Light Retrofit fixture and a LED Fixed Track Lighting Fixture with (4) directional LED Spot Heads. The LED Fixed Track Light product has been sold under private label into the US Market and began shipping in volume in May of 2010. Additionally Neo-Neon became one of the few manufacturers who have achieved a UL Listing on our LED T8 Tubes.

While Neo-Neon’s initial focus was on white SSL General and Commercial Lighting recent strategic moves has produced a new range of consumer retail and DIY white SSL products to include the Cerenity Series which is a new range of Ceramic based SSL “small package” SMD powered direct replacement bulbs. The Cerenity Series with small package SMD LEDs Delivers equal if not greater lumens, tighter binning capabilities, and higher yields. Ceramic materials are by far the most efficient from thermal management of LEDs however Neo-Neon is currently integrating the same LEDs into its latest series of aluminum thermal managed bulbs as well.
In one of Neo-Neon’s earlier series the LED Ribbon Flex where Neo-Neon was first to mass produce and deploy to market a new product range and a new first has emerged. LED Tape Light AC Series direct to mains flexible LED Tape Light. The LED Tape Light AC Series is unlike similar products on the market as it connects direct to main AC power for direct retrofit to replace cold cathode and fluorescents. Typically existing buildings already have mains to coves, sconces and areas where cold cathode and fluorescents are applied. Low voltage versions are not as desirable for general illumination as they often are accompanied by bulky transformers, power supplies and controllers. LED Tape Light AC uses existing building AC wiring and is easy to install and offers significant energy savings and reduced maintenance costs for the general illumination market.
These are just a couple of the highlights in Neo-Neon’s new products that is incorporating new SMD 3528 White LEDs. By developing new products which use small package SMD LEDs verses power LEDs for Neo-Neon’s General Illumination products the “Chip and Packaging” business case is further strengthened. Neo-Neon’s chip factory has been prepared well for the increase in demand for LED Back Light market demands and threatened shortages of LEDs in the coming months and years. Neo-Neon’s plans to expand its Chip production capacity is very aggressive one. With projected production of over 30,000 wafers per month by the end of 2010, to over 80 MOCVD’s in operation over the next five years Neo-Neon is and will certainly continue on its course of success.
